I'm with EE and got a text about upgrading early to get a free tablet, said it was first come first served. Seemed fishy, and I think the number that messaged me was actually a pay as you go. Feels like a proper scam to me.

Got a call from someone claiming to be O2 saying I could get an early upgrade and a free tablet. Said it was first come, first served and to ring 01489 567019 straight away. They even gave a text code ONEOPTOUT to 87007 to opt out. Definitely seemed dodgy and I'm sure it was a scam. Watch out for this fake caller!

Got a text saying I’m an O2 customer and can get a FREE tablet if I upgrade early? Yeah, right! Sounds like a load of rubbish to me. It said something like call 01489 567019 fast or text ONEOPTOUT to 87007 if you dont want it. Classic scammy stuff if you ask me!

Got a call from some dodgy call centre out near Bishops Waltham. They were pretending to be my mobile network and tried pushing these supposed amazing deals. I just ended up blocking the number straight away...

Got a call claiming to be from O2 saying I could get a free tablet if I upgraded early. They told me to ring this number 01489 567019 straight away because it was first come first served. I texted ONEOPTOUT to 87007 to stop the messages. When I checked with O2, they had no clue about it at all. Definitely a scam, so be careful and don’t fall for it!
