I get calls from them nearly every day looking for my husband. Almost always, they threaten to disconnect our BT internet within a day. When I tell them to go ahead since we've never even had BT at our place, they just hang up. But then they call back, sometimes later that same day or the following one. Another bloody scam call! I get a couple of calls from different numbers every morning, then this one rings about an hour later. Got a call from someone just now. They asked for me using my name, but I said I couldn’t quite catch what they were saying. Then suddenly they yelled my name out! I told them that’s not me and they must have dialled the wrong number. Ended the call straight away! I’m on the do not call list, so how do these people even have our details?

This number won’t stop ringing - it called me 4 times just in the last 40 minutes alone. I rarely pick up if I don’t know who it is. Got an answerphone set up, so if they don’t leave a message after trying before, I just assume it’s either some scammer or a pest. After checking this number, I can confirm that’s exactly what it is. My phone’s blocked list is already stuffed full with these kinds of calls, mostly scams or annoying cold callers.

So I got a ring from this number earlier today. The line was really bad and scratchy, and the bloke on the other end had a thick foreign accent which made it really hard to understand him. I got a call from this number a little while ago. The guy on the other end asked if I was ### ######. When I asked who was calling, he said he was from some sort of call blocking service. I told him the number wasn’t mine and asked him not to ring again. Then he tried to get my name so he could “update his records.” I refused and told him again not to call. My husband’s fighting cancer right now, and only close family have our landline number. We’re also signed up with the TPS. Does anyone know how to actually block these annoying calls for good?

Been getting calls from them nonstop, this marks the tenth one in less than a week. They asked to verify my direct debit details, which actually means my bank account number! They said they just needed the last six digits. Mind you, they already knew my name, the sort code, and probably the first two digits. Funny how they say they're with the telephone preference service (TPS), yet they're the very ones ignoring the rules and pestering me like this.

So I got a call supposedly from The Telephone Preference Service. They said they needed to confirm who I was by asking for my direct debit card expiry date to start blocking all those annoying national and international calls from the next day. When I refused to give that info, the lady on the line, calling herself Jennifer, got really annoyed. I kinda pushed her buttons on purpose, and she just kept getting more and more irate, her tone rising until she was shouting. She clearly wasn’t ready to quit easily. In the end, I just hung up.

I’ve had loads of calls from these lot claiming to be from the Telephone Preference Service. They kept insisting they weren’t TPS and asked me to verify the last four digits on my bank card.
