spotted: clear eco systems / superior eco lighting systems ltd from west vale, halifax. the biz is run by mark and michael goldthorpe out of elland and used to go by swift green energy solutions and approved green energy solutions. they got featured on bbc watchdog summer 2018, where alex goldthorpe got slapped with a £150,000 fine by the ico. alex goldthorpe is still hanging around clear eco, and gary bacon - the sales guy from watchdog - is now the managing director. steer clear of these guys. superior eco lighting systems ltd and clear eco systems ltd.

Alex Goldthorpe, the sole trader behind Approved Green Energy Solutions, got hit with a hefty fine from the ICO back in April 2018. They slapped a £150,000 penalty on him because he failed to verify the TPS, though he managed to get it knocked down to £120,000 by paying early. Pretty dodgy move, if you ask me.

Someone called saying they were doing some green energy stuff nearby. When I asked what the call was really about, they just ended the call.

It’s rather frustrating, isn’t it? I receive calls from this number, but when I pick up, there's just silence on the other end. Quite peculiar, really.
