I got a call on my home phone from an Asian bloke claiming I was in some accident. He gave his name as John and kept asking me for my number, repeating himself loads. After I asked him for his number three times, he just hung up. I’ve reported it to the TPS but can’t find that number anywhere. Then, about 5 minutes later, my phone rang again, someone said hello, I put it on speaker and could hear messing around before they slammed the phone down. Honestly, what a sad bunch of losers if that’s all they can do all day, I really feel sorry for them.

They said they were from some motor insurance firm in Greater London, telling me they’d been told by my insurer (Aviva) a couple of weeks ago to handle a personal claim. Thing is, I’ve not had any accidents lately nor have I dealt with Aviva in years. When I questioned them, the caller got pretty rude. Total scam, no doubt.
