this number has been ringing me non stop today, already got 3 calls by half past 3. every time, the caller says they’re from microsoft and that my pc has got viruses from some files i downloaded. i didn’t swear but told them to bugger off! quite annoying really.

This number called me again today, second time now. The first call was from a woman with an Asian accent, who kept saying my computer had a virus and was messing with my internet. I told her I wasn't interested and to leave me alone, but she just wouldn't stop pushing, even while I was trying to talk. Eventually, I told her not to call me ever again. I ignored their second call. Pretty clear it’s a scam.

It’s clearly a deceptive scheme, assuring you they can mend your computer. If you get a call, hang up immediately and absolutely refrain from sharing any financial information. I've been getting loads of calls from what shows up as an international number. I usually just let it ring through to voicemail, but then they hang up. It’s becoming pretty regular, mostly around 8.30 or 9 in the morning, sometimes in the afternoon, and a few in the early evening about 6. My relatives who live overseas now send me a text first so I know it's them, which is a bit of a faff. It’s annoying having to be so cautious about picking up these calls.

Just after half eight this morning, I was jolted from my sleep by a man with what sounded like a Pakistani accent claiming he was from Microsoft Windows, and that he was calling regarding my computer.
