Got a scam call from some woman. I told her she should seriously feel embarrassed making cash like this and have a proper, hard look at how sad it is. Then I told her to jog on and try ripping off her own mum for a change, see how well that goes down.

Sounded like a bloke from Hull, claimed he was ringing from EE to tell me about some deals. Since I am with EE, I answered. I gave him my full name, which isn't common and I didn't spell it out, but he said I'd confirmed the details he had. Then he said 'looks like you haven’t set up a password with us, could you tell me your phone's make and model?' I said sorry, I don’t know that offhand and asked if we could talk later. He was fine with it, said thanks and bye. Not totally sure if this was legit or not!

This number rang me on my EE mobile and my EE Samsung S9 marked it as suspected spam. I wasn’t waiting for anyone so I just let it ring out. I’ve blocked the number now because these sorts of calls are often scams using spoofed numbers. If this is truly an EE number, they really need to fix how their phones’ software labels calls, so folks don’t miss important calls by mistake.

Without a doubt EE. Got a call earlier today but they didnt leave a message. They rang back so I picked up and sorted out an order that some EE worker previously couldn’t figure out. They were pretty helpful but the call felt a bit odd and they were a bit salesy. Checked with EE’s live chat later and they said it was genuine.

Got a call from this number about 45 minutes ago. I missed it cause I didn’t hear my phone ring. They didn’t leave a voicemail or anything. Would’ve been nice if they said something like, “Hi, just checking if you’re happy with your subscription. Feel free to get in touch if you need anything.”

Got a call today from someone claiming to be EE, asking about the progress of my broadband order (a follow-up call). I only placed the order with EE yesterday, so they asked how it’s going. I said I’m still waiting for the router to arrive, then said thanks and goodbye. They didn’t properly check if I was the correct person for the order, which seemed odd. I guess they might've recognised my number from EE’s system, but I’m not totally convinced. I’d still say it’s an unknown caller, just to be safe.

I always ignore the calls cos as soon as you pick up, it just keeps getting more annoying. From what I can tell on here, it’s EE. I used to have broadband with them, so maybe they’re trying to push some deal on me that I don’t want. What really bugs me is how often they ring - sometimes up to 5 times a day!

Received a legit call from EE, scored a brilliant offer on my broadband and phone line thanks to a really nice young guy. They only needed either my first or last name since they mention which one at the beginning of the call and asked for a couple of letters from my favourite colour, which I chose when signing up with EE. Seems like just someone doing their job. I wouldn’t share anything beyond that though.

Yeah, it’s definitely EE partners (Clearanswer) ringing you up and while it’s not a con, they do call quite often. I just waited until I was sure it wasn’t dodgy and when I picked up, the bloke was really friendly and he quickly said he’d take me off their list, no hassle at all. Really irritating calls, no doubt about that :-D. But it's not dangerous or anything. Just pick up and ask to be taken off, they should then leave you alone.

Got four calls from them today. Picked up the last one after seeing the comments here. Told them I wasn't sure who they were looking for and figured they dialled the wrong number. FOLKS, THIS IS THE EE SALES CREW. PLEASE READ THE MESSAGES PROPERLY BEFORE CALLING IT A SCAM. IT'S NOT! PROBABLY LIKE ME, YOU WERE JUST HAVING A LOOK AT PHONES ON THEIR WEBSITE OR SOME OTHER SITE CONNECTED TO EE DEALS. I LEFT MY DETAILS AS REQUIRED TO CHECK PRICES AGAINST MY CURRENT CONTRACT WITH 3. SO BEFORE JUMPING TO SAY IT'S A SCAM, READ THE MESSAGES AND SEARCH THE NUMBER - THAT WAY YOU WON’T MAKE A FOOL OF YOURSELF.

Just got a call that showed up as maybe spam. The woman said she was from EE, but I was a bit suspicious cause why would she ask what kind of phone I use? It shows up as a possible scam for me, so I just don't answer. If EE or anyone working with them is phoning clients, I’d be interested to know if the agreements they have with those partners actually follow GDPR rules. If you’re marketing stuff to customers, why not just email them or ring from a number that doesn’t look dodgy?

I’ve had about two calls every day this whole week. I haven’t picked up once. Even if it’s EE, I’m not interested in them pestering me with offers. It’s driving me mad! Why don’t they get the message and just stop calling if I never pick up?!

They rang me again just 4 days after the last time when I didn’t pick up. I looked them up online first and saw it was supposedly EE. I finally answered this time, but got really annoyed when they checked my name and phone type and then hung up super quick saying ‘This doesn’t match our info, someone will get back to you’. Maybe it’s EE as they claim, but it’s proper sales pushy stuff, so not worth your time.

I just bought a phone from EE and then got a call asking to confirm my delivery details. They started asking for my address and other info, so I just ended the call. It's making EE seem a bit dodgy. Got quite a few calls from 01482 489729, saying they’re from EE with some deals for me. I told them if I wanted any deals, I'd just pop into a shop and ask. They are from ClearAnswer, a company working with EE, just block them - it’s honestly the easiest way to deal with it.

Said they were from EE but never asked for my name or anything, was trying to pitch cheaper deals. I ended the call before they could go on.

Got a call from EE, or so they said, but everything was just made up - false names, rubbish stories, the lot. I ended up feeding them nonsense back, best thing to do really. They’re just scammers having a laugh and couldn’t care less about anyone. Seriously, block or bluff, that number’s no good.

Got a call from this number claiming to be from EE, but everything was obviously a scam. They used made-up names and just felt dodgy right from the start. I just decided to give them false info instead of falling for it. Best to block them or mess with ’em, they clearly don’t mean well. Total scam, nothing genuine about it.

Didn’t answer the call as I didn’t know the number, but since I’m with EE too, cheers to everyone dropping comments about who it was. I rang back and got a message telling me not to stress, they’ll try again later. If you want to be taken off their list, just call 0800 5423095. Next time I’ll pick up and maybe try and get a better deal!

I received a call claiming to be from EE, informing me about some suspicious activity linked to my account. They requested my name, which I provided, but then they asked for my password-specifically the first and fifth letters. At that point, I mentioned that I couldn’t recall it because I juggle multiple passwords for various accounts. I was at work during the conversation, and I told the caller that I’d be available after 6:00pm. He assured me he would ring back later. Sure enough, he called again around 7:15pm, but I chose not to pick up since I had done my research and was wary of such calls.

Got a call today from someone saying they were from EE. They asked for my name and tried to pitch some extras for my plan. Then they asked what phone I was using. When I told them, they just said it was wrong and ended the call. I’m already an EE customer, so that was a bit odd.

I got a call from EE saying they're giving better deals with more minutes, data and reduced prices. Figured I'd listen and see what they have to offer.

I had a ring from this number earlier and when I picked up, there was silence on the other end. After a couple of seconds with no response, I decided to hang up since I sensed it was probably just another marketing ploy.

Nearly every time I've gotten calls from EE, it's just them trying to sell extra stuff or offers for their family plans. Nothing too urgent or sketchy.

Got a text about a missed call earlier but there was actually no missed call showing on my phone, and no voicemail either. Bit odd really.

Today I got a message saying I’d missed a call, but when I checked my phone there wasn’t any missed call showing. They didn’t even leave a voicemail or anything. Quite weird!

I haven’t picked up, but this number rings me several times every month and, weirdly, they called twice just today.

They called and got my name wrong, then said it was from EE.
