Got a call from Green Star Energy, they were checking if we fancied switching our gas and electric supplier. The guy was really nice and courteous, even after I explained we’d only recently changed providers and weren’t planning another switch so soon. He did share some pretty good info about cheaper rates and renewable energy options though. I agreed to let them ring back in a year to see if they can offer us a better price then.

Green Star Energy rang me today and the day before. My Samsung showed their name but I didn't pick up, just ignored it. I don't think I've agreed to any calls from them but their privacy page mentions something about third parties supplying info, like credit agencies, police, or places where you've shown interest in energy stuff. The chap, Richard from Hamilton, was quite sound, spoke with a thick Scottish accent but I caught everything he said. He took his time explaining the details, didn’t rush at all. So I decided to go with them, saving about £20 a month which is great.
