Got a call from an older lady, sounded like she was a pensioner, saying they had some extra cash for home energy upgrades. I asked if the property owner was aware, she just said no and then quickly said she’d make sure to change their records! Sounds like an energy scam to me.

Got a call yesterday evening around half six, some person saying they were from Asda and wanted to do some kind of survey. I just slammed the phone down straight away. Later I called Asda myself because I was suspicious - they told me they never ring for surveys and only contact me if there’s something up with a current order. Definitely seemed dodgy!

Had a call from this number earlier, so I rang it back. The voicemail was all posh and said something like, “You got a call from Asda today! Nothing urgent, we’ll ring you back soon,” but it sounded really odd. Why would Asda be ringing me on this number? Felt quite suspicious. I live in Northern Ireland and regularly get Asda deliveries. After I told Asda about it, they confirmed this number has nothing to do with them and warned it’s linked to a scam. Loads of others have apparently contacted Asda about this too. Definitely a scam, best to just ignore it!

I’m absolutely boggled by how often these scam callers manage to get through! Every time I pick up the phone, it's either a hang-up or some dodgy character claiming to be from a fraud department concerning my bank. The cheek of it - they always ask how many accounts I have, and I just reply, “If you were actually my bank, you’d already know that!” They then have the audacity to mention that £3,000 has supposedly vanished from my account. Goodness, if only I had that much in there! And just like that, they hang up. Honestly, it infuriates me!
