This number has called me about 3 or 4 times daily over the past week. I usually don’t pick up my landline anymore, wait for it to stop, then call it back on i471, and every time it is this exact number. I’ve never seen it before. It started around the time the local Lloyds and Halifax banks shut their doors, and banks wouldn’t bother contacting you like this anyway!

Pretty sure it’s British Gas calling. I actually cancelled with them just yesterday cos their prices were way too high. Now they’re ringing trying to tempt me with a “better deal” - bit late for that I reckon. Also, their call centres were really rude and not helpful at all. The recommendation from VODA back in 2021 could potentially be linked, or perhaps it’s related to CityFibre. Interestingly enough, the installation of my VODA broadband was carried out by City Fibre technicians a mere 29 hours prior to receiving a call from this number. It’s worth noting that the customer service centre for VODA broadband I was conversing with is located in Kingston.

I received a call from someone claiming to be from Vodafone, and they mentioned some sort of discount for broadband services. Curiously, they seemed to know my name and postcode. They also inquired about who supplies my broadband. Feeling uneasy, I decided to hang up. When I tried ringing the number back, it connected me to a company called Rescue Limited, and to my surprise, the line wouldn’t allow me to call back. Quite dodgy, if you ask me!
