I've been getting calls from this number claiming to be Vodafone. Funny enough, I had a chat with someone in my local shop recently, and they didn't seem to know anything about these calls. So, I decided to just hang up.

01482293856 Got a call on 15/11/2022 around 11:05am from a lass called Rebecca, claiming to be from Vodafone. She was trying to get me to switch to a cheaper broadband deal. She asked for personal info like my full name and dob. I told her if it’s Vodafone they should have all that already on my account. She said she needed it to log me into their system. She had a Northern accent, similar to mine, but I reckon she was from somewhere a bit further up north like Leeds or near Manchester. She sounded pretty legit, if I’m honest.

If all the thousands of folks in the UK who get these dodgy calls and texts each day took the same steps, it would push the police and government to act against these crooks. Don’t just leave it to someone else. It only takes a few minutes. I’ve got the ‘action fraud’ website bookmarked and even sent an email to my MP - got a pretty strange reply too. But it’s no use if it’s just me doing it.
