Earlier today, I received a call from a gentleman sporting a distinctly northern accent, claiming that my Vodafone broadband was coming to an end and offering to renew it. I informed him that I was well aware my contract with Vodafone runs until the year's conclusion, and I have absolutely no intentions of handling such matters over the phone-much prefer to sort it out in person at a Vodafone store. The number he rang me from was +44 1482 293862. I promptly ended the call without divulging any personal information, thankfully.

I could tell it was a call centre but picked up just to see. They wanted to speak to my wife, but she’s not had that number for ages now - I usually end up with her old phones when she changes. As soon as I said she didn’t use that number anymore, they cut the call pretty quick.
