The chap on the line, who had a distinct Mancunian twang, claimed to represent a firm called "Speed in Manchester." However, when pressed, he couldn't furnish me with any specifics about this supposed incident. He stated he was following up on a supposed accident claim, yet when I queried him, he mentioned my number had been sourced from some accident database. I made it clear that I hadn’t experienced any accident and certainly hadn’t filed any claim. I pointed out that perhaps his company had received my details by mistake, to which he responded that such a thing was implausible. Admittedly, I might have come across as a tad brusque during this unsolicited call, especially since I’d already been pestered by three similar calls from different companies just in the last few days. - Caller: A gentleman from Manchester.
