I received a call from someone claiming to represent XLN Telecom, and they wanted to speak with the owner of our business. They inquired about which broadband service we were currently using. It was clearly an unsolicited call.

This number rang me earlier today and when I picked up, there was an automated voice saying sorry we missed you, no need to worry, your phone and online card are ready, and if you want to contact us, ring 0800. I looked this number up and it’s linked to some dodgy telecom company. Total rip off, proper cowboys. I've blocked the number now and never talked to anyone from them. If this number calls you, don’t bother answering, just block it straight away, proper scammers!

This number has called our office a few times recently, so I looked it up on Google and found it’s linked to a company named XLN. They say they’re a business internet and phone service promising to help save money. After seeing some reviews from others, we decided to block the number and don’t pick up any calls from them. They’re a total joke, just telemarketers hassling people. We’ve now blocked their calls completely to avoid wasting time. Would strongly advise just blocking the number and not answering at all.

I’m not sure if it’s legit or a scam, but if it’s genuine, I’d never go with their services after how they acted. Such a bad way to handle things. I’ve just blocked the number now.

This marks the third unsolicited call I’ve received from them. They were rather forward, addressing me by my actual name. When I mentioned my rights under Article 15 of the GDPR to inquire how they acquired my information, he claimed it was merely on their list and promptly ended the call. I’ve now documented three identical calls from this company (the full recording is available - it’s flagged as soon as our number connects, although if it was a power dialler making the call, he would likely have no clue). I received a rather intrusive call earlier today, all about sales. The individual on the other end was keen to get in touch with the one managing our broadband and phone services. I explained politely that I wasn’t the correct contact, as we’d just swapped our contract not too long ago and had no interest in discussing it further. However, they were rather impolite in their insistence, stating they 'required' to speak with the relevant person and hinted at calling back. Good luck to them, as I’ll just relay the exact same message when they try again!
