Upon glancing at the number that rang me, I assumed it was one of those pesky PPI callers. And lo and behold, I was spot on! The chap on the other end had such a thick accent that I struggled to catch the name of the firm he was affiliated with. After a rather brief exchange, where I made it clear I had no PPI claims to speak of, I cheekily remarked that they must be phoning countless folks in the hopes of hitting the jackpot. There was a rather pregnant pause after that. I couldn't help but think, "What a cheeky blighter!"
