A bloke rang up saying he was from some government agency about loft insulation. He told me the insulation I supposedly had put in was dodgy and might be causing damp and condensation, but not to stress, he'd arrange a free inspection straight away. Thing is, I don’t even HAVE a loft. When I asked where they got that info from, the call just went dead quiet. It was a proper clever con, sounded legit at first, and I nearly fell for it till I took a moment to really consider it.
