Got two calls from this number in the past couple of weeks, it showed up as EE but I never picked up. They didn’t leave a voicemail either. I checked online and saw it’s connected to stepchange, and since I’ve got an account with them, I got a bit worried. From what I read, when people have talked to EE themselves, they've said it’s not a genuine call. So, I blocked the number now.

Got a call from someone trying to sell EE stuff, and they wanted all my info. Then, suddenly, this other person came on the line asking me for the same details again. I was suspicious and refused to share anything. After that, they said someone would ring me back. Seemed quite legit at first. I rang EE myself afterwards and they said it was a scam. Watch out for these!

Total scam! They called saying they were from EE but then asked me to give my full name and all my details. If it was legit EE, they’d already have that info and probably only ask for a bit of my password, not everything. Do NOT deal with these fraudsters! I’ve blocked them straight away!

Just got a ring from this number but I didn’t pick up. It showed on my phone as an “EE” number. I checked with EE’s customer service, and they told me the number’s not one of theirs and it’s likely some sort of scam. I’ve made sure to report it straight to EE now.

Twice now I've seen a call pop up saying it's from EE. Both times, the caller gave their name and said they were from EE, asked how I was doing, but the moment I answered, they just hung up. Definitely feels like a scam. From now on, I’m gone ignore any calls claiming to be from my provider EE.

So this number has rung me twice, once last Wednesday and then again today. The person on the line says something like "Good morning, this is ????? from EE, are you alright?" Each time I replied with "I'm fine" instead of a simple "yes" and they just dropped the call immediately. Definitely seems dodgy to me. What's odd is I've been expecting a call back from EE about a problem I've been dealing with.

Someone called saying they were from EE but it smelled fishy straight away. They kept trying to get me to say words like “yes” or “ok” before saying why they were ringing. After a few tries, I finally got them to admit they were pushing some “amazing deals”. That’s when I got suspicious. Then they wanted me to answer loads of questions. Total phishing scam! Got a call from this number earlier. They said it's regarding some kind of offer, but then started asking me stuff that had nothing to do with it - like my name, whether I have family, and who I get my broadband from. When I asked why they needed all that info, they said it’s just how they know their customers better. I told them I was about to be in a meeting and they promised to ring later. I blocked the number as soon as the call ended.

They rang me three times in just one day and I ignored all of them (gotta say, they’re quite persistent). I looked the number up online and it looks like they were probably trying to sell me something or get my details. If they were legit, wouldn’t they have left a voicemail after the first ring explaining what they wanted? That would’ve made things a bit clearer. Anyway, I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number - don’t expect to hear from them anymore.

My phone has a call screening feature I use whenever I don’t recognise a number. It makes them leave a voicemail first. When they heard the “Call is being screened” alert, a woman with a posh English accent suddenly snapped “Oh come on, really?” and then just ended the call.

They claim to help you cut costs on your contract, but you end up signing up for a new one instead. My phone marked them as spam, so I just ignored the calls. If you don’t want to hear from them, best to just block the number outright.

At 5.35 in the evening, I got a call from someone claiming to be from EE Stevenage. They even used my first name, which made me a bit suspicious. I decided to hang up on my phone because I wasn't certain if it was real or not.

Just one of those dodgy scam calls.

Phone call from someone saying they were with EE offering me "deals" on my plan. When I said no to giving my personal info to check my account, they got really snappy. Loads of noise in the background too. Seemed dodgy to me, probably a scam.

Got a call earlier today from this number - the guy said he was from EE. He was really nice and didn’t seem bothered when I told him I wanted to check with EE to make sure he was who he said. He even rang me back afterward. In the end, I switched to EE home broadband and changed my phone package, which ended up saving me more than £50 a month. I reckon if someone’s legit, they won’t mind you double checking who they are, but if they start acting shady, I’d just hang up straight away.

They keep ringing non stop. Been four times just this past week, it’s honestly a bit much. Even if it really is EE, calling that often is just crazy.

Not sure how they manage it, but they seem to get into EE messaging by some hacking trick. They’ll send texts making it seem like it’s all proper when it’s definitely not. Just tell them to email or post you details of any deals they claim to have; if they can’t do that, you’re dealing with a scammer. No problem!

Got a call from this number but no message left. If they were legit, surely they would've dropped a voicemail.

Got a call from EE tryin to push some extras like broadband and an Apple Watch. Pretty chill, they didn’t ask for anything personal that could be risky (like my full name or phone model) and later sent a text from an EE number to confirm stuff. Felt pretty legit to me.

Got a call from someone saying they were from EE, but honestly sounded like they were shouting over noise in a pub or something. They said they wanted to check I was getting the best deal, called me by my full name then asked me to confirm it back - seemed odd. Told them I’m leaving EE soon so don’t bother calling again. Ended the call and blocked the number. Pretty sure it was a scam.

Some guy just kept saying hello over and over but never picked up when I replied and asked who he was, then he just ended the call.

Dodgy call, I reckon. The person had a thick London accent, all cheery and nice, but there's no mistaking it - it's a scam for sure!

I think this call was dodgy. After I picked up, there was a strange pause and quite a bit of background noise. A man said he was from EE, checking if I was on the best deal. He only used my first name, then straight away asked for my full name and other private info. I told him I suspected it was a scam and hung up. I've blocked the number now.

Just block and get rid of that number. Total scammers. They start by checking your name and address, then ask for your secret question. Using all that info, they head to EE’s site, enter your phone number (which they’ve already got), your address, then reset your password with the secret question. After that, they swap the email and password on your account, add extra gadgets like smartwatches or new contracts, and send them off somewhere else. That’s the scam, mate. Stay safe.

Got a call from a number I didn't know, figured I'd pick up. Could hear loads of noise and people talking in the background. The bloke said he was from EE and gave me my name straight away, so he clearly had my details. I hung up right away and blocked the number. EE never calls me on this number, and if they do, it’s never like this. The noisy background and pushy manner just don’t seem like a proper EE call centre. Totally a scam, steer clear!

This number keeps ringing me and they just drop the call once I pick up. At first, I assumed it was someone from work because it’s a Stevenage area code. After reading the other comments here, I’m definitely going to block it now.

This bloke said he was from EE and wanted to talk about upgrading my phone. He asked me to confirm my full name. I just said, "You rang me first, didn’t you?" He sounded a bit caught off guard, so I said I'd prefer to ring them back myself. He tried to keep me chatting but I ended up hanging up.

Got a call from someone called Hazel on 01438 989230. She said she was with EE and asked for my full name plus parts of my password. I ended the call straight away and she didn’t ring again. Definitely a scam, don’t trust this number. It’s not from EE!

Some bloke called saying he was from EE. Asked for my name and something about my password, but I didn’t catch it properly. I told him my name, then he went quiet and said “great, you don’t have a password on your account.” I hung up right away, cos I know I’ve got a password on my EE account. He rang back once but I ignored it. Pretty sure this isn’t legit EE calling.

They rang me earlier but I didn’t pick up, and there was no voicemail left. Looks like most comments say it’s a scam connected to EE. I’ve been an EE customer for years and they have called about upgrades before, but never on this particular number.
