I received a call from some chap claiming to be from an Indian call centre, waffling on about slashing maintenance fees for my boiler. This fellow was quite adamant that he needed my date of birth, so in a moment of mischief, I provided him a rather ridiculous date. His reaction was priceless-he snapped, “Why are you wasting my time?”

Just to clarify, I don’t even have a maintenance contract for my boiler!
