He tried to say it would only take a minute or two, but I repeated that I don’t do surveys and asked him to hang up. After a short pause, he finally put the phone down.

Things got dodgy when they started asking about what sort of accounts I hold. I told them I was getting a bad vibe and that made the caller a bit uneasy, then they tried to convince me they were legit. Got a call from someone claiming they wanted to ask some private questions about the upcoming election. They even asked for me specifically by my name. I wasn’t interested, so I told them no and ended up blocking the number.

Got a call from a lady with a northern accent who said she was doing a survey about internet usage. She was clearly reading off something, sounded really scripted. When I told her I use the internet but am cautious, she quickly said I didn’t qualify for any more questions and ended the call.

This number has rung me a couple of times over the past few days. I picked up on the second ring and a woman spoke, using my name and said she was doing a survey about transport stuff. I told her I was tied up at the moment, and she said she'd give me another buzz later. I made it clear I wasn't interested, then ended the call and went ahead to block the number.
