This call seemed to come from a call centre in India or Pakistan. The person said he was calling from EE and told me that my SIM card was outdated. He claimed 4G wouldn’t work after Sunday and offered to send me a new 5G SIM. When I asked about delivery, he said DPD would bring it and asked if tomorrow lunchtime was ok, to which I agreed. Then he requested my email, so I gave him a made-up one while I looked up the phone number. Suddenly, he said he’d transfer me to his supervisor, which made me think he was about to attempt the classic ‘reset password’ scam. That’s where they ask for the 6 digit code sent by email ‘for verification’. Please don’t ever give that code out. They’ll reset your password, change your email, lock you out, and might even order new devices on your account. Stay vigilant!

Was a call from a number I didn’t know, didn’t pick up and they left no voicemail or anything. Seems like it was most likely some kind of scam.
