Just got a quick ring then it stopped, no voicemail or anything. Seeing what others say here, I think I’ll just block that number straight away.

So it’s this ‘claims direct’ lot who keep buzzing me non-stop, even after I’ve told them to quit or asked to be taken off their list! They just ring from numbers that look nearly the same. I’ve blocked about 4 or 5 numbers, all linked to the same bunch. Honestly, they’re proper annoying and make me want to lose my temper big time. I’m not proud to say it, but I’d be tempted to give them a piece of my mind for being such pests.

Had a call from a lady speaking with a foreign accent, she said she was from auto assist and wanted to talk about an accident I supposedly had. I’ve never been in any crash, so this felt dodgy right away. I searched for Auto Assist online and couldn’t find anything recent about them dealing with accidents. Clearly a scam trying to trick people!

Got a call from some bloke saying he was with auto assist, asking if I’d been in a car crash in the UK and if I’d claimed any compensation. When I asked him for specifics like where it happened, when it was, and the car’s registration, he got all defensive and said he didn’t have any of that info. I told him to ring back only when he can give me exact details - like the make, model, date and time of the accident. Otherwise, I warned him I’d be reporting them to the IPS.

Got a call from someone saying I’d been involved in an accident. I honestly don’t believe they’re actually calling from Glasgow, even though the number started with 0141. Just be careful and don’t hand over any details to these scam artists. When I spoke to the caller, I told them how pathetic it is to spend their only life trying to trick others. They’re nothing but criminals.

I received a missed call from this number the other day and, being curious, I decided to ring it back. Unfortunately, the call wouldn’t go through. I suspect that had I picked up, it would have been yet another one of those nuisance calls about a car accident I've never experienced-seeing as I don’t even have a vehicle! In the past, I've let them prattle on and query how they managed to acquire my information, but the whole charade tends to unravel quite quickly!
