Got a call with my name being used, saying I was in an accident. I asked if I was alright cos I reckon I must have lost my memory, as I definitely wasn’t in any accident. When I pressed on where they’d gotten my info from, the lady couldn’t say. I ended up really angry, shouting at her to explain where they’d taken my details from, since I never share my info or give permission to any business I deal with. Honestly, it’s quite worrying.

‭0141 769 0263‬ rang me on 26/11/20 about 16:47. Didn’t pick up as I didn’t know the number. I just don’t answer if the number’s unfamiliar. If it’s important, they normally leave a voicemail. Otherwise, I search the number on Google to see if anyone else had calls from them. From what I’ve found so far, I usually end up blocking the caller. Thanks to everyone who shared their thoughts about this number. I’ll be blocking it now. ;-)

Someone kept asking for a name that wasn’t mine, then just hung up straight away. Makes me question if these calls are even worth answering or if it’s just scams all around. I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number now.

Totally insurance scam calls. Same digits and Glasgow area code as others have said here. I’ve blocked the number and filed a complaint with the ICO. Would recommend everyone else do likewise cos reporting this helps trigger an enquiry and might end up costing them a big fine.

Got calls from accident claims people about a crash supposedly within the past two years. They actually knew my full name. They rang my mobile (a) I don’t even drive, (b) never had any accidents. Just hung up and blocked the number. They’re after your private info, bank details etc so don’t give anything away. It’s clearly a scam, they use fake numbers that likely aren’t real. Usually use the same number for a few days then switch to a different dodgy one probably by next week or so. Total rubbish.
