Yesterday, a friendly sounding woman rang me from this number, saying I’d been in an accident. Oddly enough, I did have an accident about five years ago. It felt very strange for someone to bring that up after such a long time, but I decided to hear her out. After a while, it became clear she was just fishing for my personal info, probably to scam me.

I got one of those car accident scam calls. Some automated woman told me I’d been in an accident, which I actually was a couple of years ago, so I said yes, just to keep it going. Right after, they switched me over to a guy with a really thick accent who barely spoke any English. A few minutes later, I was about to give him my card details! Luckily, my partner walked in just then and asked who I was sending money to, then told me her boss lost nearly £4,000 to a similar scam. I hung up straight away. They apparently use your card info to drain your account within a few weeks, which is terrifying.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from the legal team about a car accident I supposedly had (which I definitely haven't). When I told them to delete my info from their records, they just ended the call on me. Proper dodgy.
