Yesterday, I received a rather charming call from a woman on this number, who claimed that I had been part of an accident. Well, I did have one about five years back, but it struck me as quite odd that someone would bring it up now, all this time later. Curiosity got the better of me, so I continued the conversation. However, it quickly became clear that her real intention was to fish for my personal information, likely with the aim of swindling me.

Beware of those dodgy car accident con artists! I received a call from a robotic voice claiming I was involved in an accident. Oddly enough, I did have a mishap a couple of years back, so I unwittingly replied in the affirmative. Before I knew it, the call was switched to a human with a thick accent, whose grasp of English left much to be desired. Just a few minutes into the conversation, I found myself with my card in hand, practically handing over my details! It was only when my wife entered the room and inquired about what I was doing that I realised the gravity of the situation. She mentioned that her boss had lost nearly £4,000 in a similar scam. I promptly hung up. Apparently, the moment they get your card information, your bank account could be drained in a matter of weeks.

When I politely requested that they eliminate my information from their database, they abruptly terminated the call. Quite unprofessional, if you ask me!
