Got a robo call from "My Bank" saying there was dodgy activity on my account - one charge of £300 from Amazon and another £1000 from some service I’ve never even heard of.

Got a call on my phone, I picked up but no one said anything, then the call just ended.

Spam once more!!! It’s always the same area code with just the last few digits different. I don’t pick up but even when I ring back the call never goes through, no shock there!!! Number’s added to my block list!!

Proper sneaky and definitely a scam. Got a ring on my work phone from this number, answered and some bloke in a call centre says it’s about energy. I told him I’m too busy for any survey. He tries to say it’s not a survey, but I said doesn’t matter, I’m at work and haven’t got time. Then he goes on saying it’s daft I’m picking up the phone if I’m working. Told him he called my work number, but he just flipped it back on me like I was daft for sharing my work number with random scam callers. Nope, haven’t given my work number out to any weirdos!

This is a SCAM, pretending to be a company that doesn't even exist.

They said they were doing a free loft insulation check but the address they gave, 725 Auchinloch Rd, Cambuslang, wasn't found anywhere online. I’m going to report them to the telephone preference service since they shouldn’t be making cold calls like that.

I ended the call just before anyone picked up and didn’t bother leaving a voicemail. When I tried to return the call, I was greeted by an Indian accent on the line. Unfortunately, I couldn't get through. It really felt like I had reached an Indian call centre.

They keep ringing from loads of different numbers but its always the same folks. Kinda odd this only started happening the last few days after I put my mobile on a job site that’s pretty popular.

Got a call from a guy with an Asian accent claiming he was from the Energy Commission, which seemed like a total scam. I told him I wasn’t interested and ended the call. This was the second time someone from that same area code called me, so now both numbers are blocked.

I sadly picked up and said "hello," then some bloke with a Glasgow accent said he’d dialled the wrong number, but there was loads of background noise like from a call centre or sommat. I just went "okay" and ended the call. Later, I checked the number and saw it’s connected to HMRC scams and loads of folks have had calls from it. Feeling pretty anxious about what that might mean now.

A chap with a strong Glasgow twang claimed he dialed the wrong number, but there was a distinct hum of a call centre in the background. It all seemed rather dodgy, especially since a quick search revealed this number is linked to various HMRC scam alerts. Quite concerning, to say the least!

I thought it was a scam so I just hung up and tried calling again. It went straight to voicemail. A woman with a thick foreign accent said no one could answer right now. They didn't tell me what company they were with.

They called me straight away using my name, said they worked for an energy firm. When I asked why, they said they were letting all UK residents know about a free loft insulation deal!! Then just suddenly hung up. (Not a spelling mistake, that’s exactly what she said)

He seemed to know my name and my landline number. Said he was ringing from some Energy firm. When I told him I was on the Telephone Preference Service, he just called me "a total prat" and then slammed the phone down.

No voicemail or message so no clue who it could have been. I've had quite a few calls from numbers that look alike and they’ve always been some kind of scam or spam, so I’m guessing this one was the same. I’ve just blocked it now to be on the safe side.
