Got loads of calls from 01417329452, some bloke calling himself Joshua from "Claims Direct" wanting to chat to my husband. Thing is, this is my phone he’s ringing, not his. I’m guessing they dug his name up through our phone deal since it’s on a family plan under his name. They ring loads - different numbers but always the same sort of thing (only the last digit changes). It’s annoying coz they’ll call me 2 or 3 times a day and if you block one, they just pop up from a new one. I don’t answer now at all.

Got a call claiming it was regarding a car crash I was in. I replied, “Oh, you mean the one where I lost my cool?” He just said no, then suddenly went quiet (guess he realised I wasn’t buying it 😂) and ended the call.

Just now, I received a call from a landline purporting to be from ‘Glasgow,’ claiming to represent Direct Claims Insurance. They had the audacity to mention my late husband’s name, asserting he’d been in a minor accident. The thing is, my husband sadly succumbed to Covid-19 earlier this year. Even after I told them this, the caller persisted with their rehearsed pitch. Truly appalling and entirely disrespectful!
