I received a call from this number, but when I said Hello, there was silence on the other end. I'm curious to find out more about who's behind this call. Any details would be appreciated!

Received a call claiming to discuss a new government initiative aimed at helping with debt relief. When I pressed for details, they were unable to respond to straightforward questions. They dodged the reason for their unsolicited call and hung up abruptly. Interestingly, they also contacted me the day before from a number that appeared to originate from Leeds. The whole operation had a distinct call centre feel to it-definitely not UK-based. Tread carefully!

i received a call on my landline that was obviously a scam, didn’t even wait for the message to end. like many others here, my home phone isn’t connected to any of my accounts, so no matter how convincing the message might have been, I’d have just cut it off straight away!

What a complete con! I received a call from someone claiming to be returning a refund related to my car finance due to some sort of investigation. The chap couldn't provide any information on how he obtained my phone number, which immediately raised my suspicions. When I brought up data protection laws and GDPR, he had no clue what I was talking about! It was quite unbelievable. As soon as I started firing questions his way, he cut the call. To top it off, I reached out to the company he supposedly represented, and they assured me that they had no connection to this dodgy call whatsoever.
