Got a call about some dodgy student debts they claimed I owed. They had no clue who I was or what the amount was meant to be. Definitely a scam, no doubt about it.

I've been receiving a fair few calls from the numbers 0121 811 0192 and 0121 811 8205. The chap on the other end had quite a pronounced Indian accent. I requested to have my details removed from their list and asked them not to get in touch again. To my surprise, he became rather fiery and claimed that if I just answered a few of his inquiries, he'd leave me alone moving forward. I firmly told him I had no interest, and he just kept hollering “listen, listen”, before abruptly hanging up on me. Curious as to what was going on, I rang back the number, which led me to an email address linked to a company named Morningview. Then, today, I was hit with another call from 0204 575 0194, and it was a repeat of the same unsettling experience. After being cut off once more, I decided to call the number again, only to be greeted by the same monotonous message for Morningview. Shortly after, a woman with a strong Indian accent reached out from the same number. When I requested to be transferred to her supervisor, she outright refused, stating it was because I didn’t know her company's name! Then, without further ado, she hung up as well. Such an aggressive outfit that clearly has no intention of listening. I’m still none the wiser regarding what they are after or the purpose of these incessant calls.

I've had three calls from this number, which seems to be from Glasgow. Curiosity got the better of me, so I finally picked up. It was obviously a call centre - I could tell by the insufferable tone of the woman on the other end. When I inquired about the purpose of the call, she rambled on, claiming it was just a survey and somehow had my name and address on file. She mentioned that if I participated, they wouldn't bother me again. However, when I repeated my question about what exactly the survey entailed, she abruptly ended the call. How frustrating!

At under 18, they didn’t take my word for it, so my mum took over the conversation. As soon as she started digging for more information, they just hung up. I've blocked the number and reported them. What’s unsettling is that they had my address and postcode!
