Got an email from them about a loan offer, but wanted to double-check some things so I called them up. Luckily, nobody picked up when I rang - glad I didn’t get involved after reading all these comments here. Weirdly, their email didn’t say anything about Microsoft or computers at all.

So I got a call from some Asian guy claiming to be from Microsoft, using a Glasgow number but then gave me some Microsoft campus office address in Reading. While they said they were waiting for my computer to “warm up”, I remembered I get loads of these scam calls. Now I like to mess about with them and see how long I can keep them chatting before telling them all my computers are Apple. It’s pretty amusing if you’ve got the time to mess with these dodgy scammers. They’ve actually gotten a bit cleverer though; one time, one of them asked about the keyboard layout on the bottom left to check if I had a Mac. Then he transferred me to a supposed Mac expert, but I still kept him hanging around for another 10 minutes just wasting their time. Good fun if you want to have a laugh at their expense!

They claim to be calling from this number, but it's not true at all. They’re actually ringing from a mobile phone. Just your typical automated scam.

I got a call about some issue with my BT phone line. The person on the other end claimed they worked with BT or something. Then suddenly they wanted me to let them onto my computer, even tho the issue was just the phone line. They kept pushing me to open up my computer for them. I asked for a number I could call back on, and made it clear I wasn’t going to pick up if they rang again. I said we’d ring them instead.

Got a call from some guys claiming they were from Microsoft. I'm a certified engineer so i had a laugh messing with them for ages, about half an hour, watching them get all annoyed and shouting. Proper funny that was lol

I ended up chatting with these scammers for nearly half an hour. They had Asian accents but kept introducing themselves with very British names. They kept going on about having official permission to represent Microsoft, even quoting some licence number for my computer that’s apparently been flagged for illegal stuff! I found it quite funny just hearing them out. Eventually, they passed me to their ‘manager’ called Peter. Things just got daft from there, with Peter getting more and more annoyed. I asked a few times to be taken off their call list, only to be told the reason I wasn’t removed and would keep getting calls was because I wasn’t listening to them. Utter nonsense!

Got loads of calls from someone saying they're from Microsoft, claiming they need to look for hacker threats on my PC. They asked me to let them access my computer remotely. When I rang the number back, the bloke who answered never said who he was. Feels a bit dodgy to me, don’t think they’re genuine at all.
