I rang them back and said I was from the ASPF, you know, the Anti Scammers People’s Front. Then I warned that if they didn’t hand over their passport on Renfrew Street within half an hour, they’d be followed to their house and subjected to some pretty unpleasant stuff.

Got a call like this too, they said if I don't pay up, I'd end up getting arrested, which really freaked me out. I said I'd ring the official number to check if it was legit, so I did, and I got through to the real place. They told me just to hang up straight away, said it's a total scam and my records were fine. I told them the guy on the phone called himself Denis Grey.
