Someone claiming to be from E-on called me, saying they’d already chatted to my husband about our business energy deal - total rubbish as I handle all that and arranged everything on my own. When I told them that, they got quite cheeky and kept saying they needed to talk to my husband. I asked where they’d got our number from and mentioned they might be breaching data protection laws, but they wouldn’t even disclose which company they were with. Such a frustrating experience!

I get that energy agents can call, but it’s really annoying when you say NO again and again, and they keep phoning you multiple times every day trying to get you to agree to a deal half a year before your contract finishes.

Got a call from someone saying they were from nPower, seemed like they were trying to get info out of us. They wanted to talk to a particular woman director who usually isn’t around the office. The caller got pretty pushy, saying we had to give details if we wanted them to stop phoning. In the end, they just hung up when they saw I wasn’t going to give anything away.

Got a call from 01413707092 this morning at about 11:12am. A woman said she was ringing from ECOSAVE and that they managed my energy account! That immediately sounded dodgy since only we deal with our energy stuff. We run a small business and always get these calls from people pretending to be about energy. Honestly, the safest bet is to just hang up and not say anything. I've already blocked the number now.

Just got a call from someone saying they were from the gas or electric company - total scam for sure. They had no clue about the weather up here in Glasgow even though the number was local. Definitely fishy!
