A bloke with an African accent called himself Romeo and tried to get my energy account info. He already knew my postcode and supplier but when I said I’d check, he said everything was fine and then I ended the call.

Got a call from a guy who said his name was Romeo, sounded African. He asked to verify my energy supplier details, and he actually knew my postcode. When I checked with my supplier, they said everything was fine, so I just ended the call.

Had a call from someone claiming to be from an energy company, sounded way too confident and quite pushy. Found out they knew some info about my energy deal, but it definitely wasn’t from Scottish Power. They tried to convince me to switch by using the whole Covid excuse, saying since I’m on a fixed rate, I’m missing out on cheaper prices. Then the bloke mixed himself up, telling me prices will rise soon. Ended the call straight away and hung up on the scam.

These calls are from some dodgy telemarketing firm that tries all sorts of tricks to get your bank info and who your energy provider is. The person on the other end speaks with a heavy foreign accent, talks super fast, and is really pushy. I've blocked the number now, but seriously, why isn’t the government doing something about these scammers? The phone says the call came from Glasgow, but I highly doubt that's true. Watch out, there's scam callers everywhere again. Come on UK government, sort this out!

A few days back, I got a call from someone who sounded rushed and was quite pushy. They kept arguing and wouldn’t let me get a word in. The caller claimed to be from my energy supplier, warning me that my bills would shoot up because of Brexit, and suggested I change my contract. I asked them to send details by email or post since I wasn’t about to agree to anything I didn’t fully understand. Now it seems I’m stuck with a different energy company that I never agreed to switch to.

I received a call from this number at precisely 16:28 on 8th October 2019, but as soon as I revealed my own number, the person on the other end just hung up without uttering a single syllable. Quite irritating, to say the least! I seem to get an endless stream of these unsolicited calls daily, although they don't always come from this specific number. I'm at a bit of a loss on how to block them, but believe me, if I had the means, I would. They’re incredibly invasive. - caller: Not a clue - the line went dead before I could even get a word in, found the number by calling 1471.
