Got a call back from Scottish Power today. I thought, right, might as well see if they can offer a better deal than my current supplier. But before he could even start with prices, I told him to hold on. I checked comparison sites myself and found one quoting £383 more, another £357 extra, and yet another £325 higher. One site didn’t even bother listing them because they were that expensive. Honestly, if this number pops up on your phone, I'd ignore it. Feels like they're just looking to rip you off.

Got a call from someone called Josh, said he was from Scottish Power but never actually mentioned the company name. He rang about some competition I’d supposedly signed up for, offering free gas and electricity for a year, which I recall entering. At the time, I didn’t have internet access, so I told him to ring back later. Now after reading some of the comments here, I’m thinking it’s best to just ignore calls like that. Heard he gets quite annoyed if you don’t agree straight away. Sounds like the prize draw is supposed to happen on June 1st or something? Quite iffy if you ask me.

someone rang sayin they were from scottish power, trying to push a deal for gas and electricity that sounded too good to miss. they said it was a limited time offer, sign up straight away or miss out. when i told them i needed time to check other options first, the person who was nice at first suddenly got annoyed and told me i was wasting his time. bit rude if you ask me. i dunno if he was just a crappy worker or if this was some kind of scam. he did have my details though, probably because i’d entered a prize draw for free gas and electric for a year.
