Got a call from this number about half an hour ago. The person claimed my insurance for a Hoover washing machine bought back in June 2022 was about to run out tomorrow. I told them I don't entertain cold calls, then ended the call and blocked the number. Afterwards, I looked it up and found out John Lewis insurance lasts for 2 years anyway. Then I spotted the other comments about this number.

A woman called saying she was from Domestic and General, telling me my hoover warranty had expired. She then tried to sell me a discounted warranty deal with them. I’ve blocked the number as it felt like a scam to me.

My mum got a call from someone saying they were from Domestic and General, saying her cooker warranty had expired and needed renewing. Not sure how they got that info though. Mum gave them her bank details and was told a payment would come out next week. I kept an eye on our bank account for three days and saw a payment had been set up, so I cancelled it immediately. They managed to take £39 today, but thankfully it got refunded straight away. Been trying to call them back for days but the number’s blocked. Will be keeping a close eye on our account from now on.
