Honestly, any company that insists on addressing people as “Miss” or “Mr” right off the bat really needs to rethink its priorities. It reeks of self-importance, doesn’t it? They’re probably earning a pittance, like a fiver an hour, too! It’s just a bit ridiculous, if you ask me.

I've been getting calls from a dodgy individual going by the name of Mr Smith. Quite clearly a scam, if you ask me!

The most effective strategy with this company is to play a little game. When they request to speak with you directly, simply reply with, “One moment, please! Let me fetch them for you.” Meanwhile, place the call on hold for as long as you can. After a good ten seconds or so, come back and say, “I’m terribly sorry, but they’re not around. Would it be possible for you to ring back later?” Just rinse and repeat. Before long, they’ll be thoroughly frustrated, and it’s bound to hit their wallet with all that time wasted!

Actually, I don't think it's that cut and dried. Numerous businesses engage in outsourcing for various functions like human resources or call centres. This is simply a different method of operation. So, before you jump to conclusions, perhaps think it through a bit more, you lot!

They keep ringing and then just cutting off. Complete waste of time, honestly! What a bunch of idiots, it's absolutely ridiculous!

I keep receiving calls on my mobile from numbers that either appear as 'unknown' or 'withheld'. To be honest, when I don't recognise a number, I simply ignore it. I'm absolutely bracing myself for the day when one of these firms decides to drag us into court, leaving us destitute, as we can hardly scrape together enough cash to file for bankruptcy! Honestly, if these individuals were to throw us in the slammer, at least I’d have regular meals, warmth, clean clothes, and bedding, plus a nice shower with hot water, a telly, and some semblance of comfort. And just think, no worrying about gas, electricity, or grocery costs! Sounds like a right peculiar trade-off, doesn’t it?

We also received a call from these individuals earlier this afternoon (Saturday). They left a message prompting us to return their call, but we thought it best not to engage. We have no intention of letting them disturb us, especially since my partner has a disability and there's no reason for her to struggle out of her chair only to discover it’s merely a frivolous call, regardless of their claims of urgency.

I can assure you, there’s no need to worry as this individual isn’t likely to stir up any fuss, simply because he lacks the ability to do so. If you delve into the debt discussion boards like Moneysavingexpert, Consumer Action Group, or Legal Beagles, you’ll uncover a rather unsavoury reputation associated with this company. Best to ignore any attempts from him to communicate over the phone, and frankly, tell them to jog on. Don't buckle under pressure - don’t verify anything or acknowledge them in any way. Regardless of how persistent she may be, there’s absolutely no obligation to engage with them verbally. As for AIC, all correspondence ought to be strictly handled in writing.

I recently received a call from someone claiming to be Mr. Mccuaig from Allied International, threatening us that if we don’t settle the amount he mentioned by Friday, 29th October at 1 PM, we would encounter some issues. My partner and I are retirees, and this has understandably caused us a fair bit of distress. Could anyone please advise on the best course of action here? We're quite anxious about the whole situation. Thank you.

What a nuisance! This pest of a caller, along with countless other numbers, seems to hit my phone six to eight times a day. I keep trying to block them, yet they just ring me up from a different number every time. It’s becoming quite the tiresome game, isn’t it?

Received a call from this number on Sunday afternoon while we were out and about. They alleged to be calling from Citi Card, but in reality, they’re nothing more than dodgy debt collectors from Allied International Credit. Best to just brush them off; they’re operating outside the law. Avoid any engagement with these shady characters!

I recently received a call from them and, to be honest, we've unfortunately lost touch with an old credit card account. It's definitely our error, but these folks are being rather inflexible. They demand that we cough up the entire sum immediately, and earlier today, they threatened us with some outrageous interest charges. We suspect this figure is not accurate, but they seem to believe they can impose whatever fees they like, and they're unwilling to consider any sort of payment plan. Quite frustrating, really!

Steve, what on earth makes these individuals think their actions are above board? This is clearly a case of first-party outsourcing, you muppet!

I've been getting persistent calls from the number 01412283052, and it's a complete mystery to me who or what it might be. They eventually left a voicemail on our answering machine, but it was asking for someone named Miss Clo? Clay? Clue? It was pretty garbled, so I'm not entirely sure. To add to the confusion, there’s no one by that name who has access to our phone who's older than ten! Surely it wouldn’t take much for them to look up who's registered to this number-if I can find it online, why can't they? They claim to be from something called Allied International Credit, which raises a red flag for me. Could this possibly be an attempt at fraud? It's alarming how many folks are getting duped out of their cash these days, whether it's from landlines or mobiles.

We recently received a call instructing us to dial this number, which we consider nothing short of harassment and quite illegal. If these individuals attempt to contact us again, we will make it a point to document the call and report it to Trading Standards. It baffles us how such folks can carry on their lives with a clear conscience. One can only imagine the future their children may face if they ever find themselves in financial trouble. Our advice? Just disregard their attempts. Alternatively, you might want to tell them to take a long walk off a short pier until they can sort out their own money issues!

We received a call on our mobile that referenced a Ms Cole and provided us with a reference number to call back. The message insisted it was quite urgent. After browsing through some comments here, it piqued our interest!
