Got a text saying I could get a certified cheque for £500 cash and another £50 for petrol if I put a logo on my car and just drove around. They wanted my full details like name, address, city, postcode, job, and what car I drive with the year. I replied asking who they were, where they’re based, and asked for their name, address, phone number and company details. But no reply from them at all yet!

Got a text from (410) 200-501 saying it’s from U.S. B.A.N.K. with a number to call (866) 646.6813 and some message about the security department lasting 250 seconds or something. The weird thing is, I’ve never had an account with US Bank at all. Totally confused by that.

Got a call saying there was some dodgy charge on my Wells Fargo Visa, but I don't even own a Wells Fargo card. Thing is, I clicked on the "download" link they sent, and it just showed some Chinese writing with a posh car wheel pic. Fingers crossed I didn’t just let something bad in my phone.

Got a text full of rubbish saying I had to “update Facebook’s latest terms by May 28th” with some crazy long link made up of weird random characters... looked totally dodgy. Definitely a scam, so I blocked the number and reported it.

Got a message from this number saying it's from Chase Bank and that I had to get in touch straight away using the link they sent. I avoided clicking it, but my missus ended up clicking it anyway. Watch out if you get a text from this number. It’s from someone called Marie and says something like “Just for you, houses starting at 438 a month.” The message also has a weird link like 1A15.lower462.info. Definitely fishy.

Got a text from ly dj saying you could make 550 quid a week just by turning your car into a moving advert. They asked me to reply "Yes" if I wanted in. Nope, no way I'm getting caught by that rubbish.

I just got a message telling me my card from US Bank is frozen and I need to ring a certain number straight away. Hilarious thing is, I don’t even own a card from US Bank!

This number sent me a message and when I checked the site they mentioned, Wulkan.co.tz/folview, on my computer, my antivirus popped up a warning. It said the page tries to fool you into downloading harmful software. Quite dodgy if you ask me!

Got a message saying I was picked to receive a donation, asked me to send my email to get all the info.

In Spanish, it basically said,

"You've been selected to benefit from my donation, please send your email for more details."

Almost got me on my birthday, nearly fell for the trick!

Got a weird text from 'inajmar' today. It was like www.6g9U.7cl.z79.casa.#hjs39w/ or something similar, then something about 'movedto sit on a hjs39w.' Totally confused what it was supposed to mean. Anyone else get something like this? Seems like some sort of spam or scam link, so I didn't click on anything.

Got a message from [email protected] sayin’ there’s some problem with a purchase and to check this sketchy link: http://kys1st3malert.com. Didn’t bother clicking it since it looks dodgy and I’m not even a US Bank customer. Best just to block and forget about it.

Got a message really early this morning around 6:53am from some weird sender named fJIieSGtofz. The text said something about a new alert for my account and asked me to check it out today. It had a link that looked dodgy: notification-mQeWELYPAN.kedaicatur.com. They also asked me to confirm by clicking http://notification-mQeWELYPAN... Definitely seemed fishy and I didn’t touch it.

I got two messages so far. The first one told me to get in touch with PNC Bank because they were supposedly freezing all accounts, then the other said something about money being sent from Western Union and instructions on how to pick it up.

Got this odd message that said something like “uphIs rickshaw and go” and had a weird website link - www.oeoiy.2xq.fpb2.com or something similar. Honestly no idea what it means or where it came from. Quite confused!

Got this weird message from “[email protected]” saying my Citi profile is inactive and telling me to fix it using my personal email. The link looked dodgy too - https://online.citi.com.cyberideaz.com. Thing is, I don’t even have a Citi account! So, I just deleted it and blocked the sender straight away. Definitely seems like a scam.

Ran the link through a firewall and it looks like a dodgy fake version of Coinbase. Be careful with stuff like this!

I got a call from someone claiming they sent me free litecoin, sounded a bit fishy to me. They were really pushy about giving me some coins, but I didn’t trust it at all. Definitely felt like a scam to be honest, so I just hung up. Wouldn't recommend falling for stuff like that.

On 31st October 2018, I got a text from the number 1410200501. It said something about an inheritance being paid out to me and asked me to get in touch with a Mr Miller. The message looked like it came from [email protected]. Seems dodgy to me.
