Got a weird text the other day from "CASE-BANK-ALERT-CHECKING-ACC-DOKMCZSGGG" saying something about my phone number and then giving me a link: http://omirfn.com?ACCESS-DOKMCZSGGG with an info ID T66MDO7ZRA. Honestly, I’ve never dealt with Chase and bank account numbers don’t have letters in them as far as I know. Seems like a dodgy scam to me.

I got one of those classic scam texts too, just like a lot of other people: “1 of 2 FRM:Infos SUB: Important Alert! MSG: Alert! Your account's about to be SUSPENDED, please login now to fix it: (Cont') 2 of 2 http://3178333170/?CaseID=123. Cheers. (End)” If you’re on Android, you can mark it as scam by tapping the top right corner, selecting ‘More’ then ‘Register scam number’. Once you do that, just delete the message and be done with it.

Cheers." Definitely always look up any unknown number before answering or replying, and don't ever tap on those dodgy links!

I got a message saying "FRM:HUNTINGTON-BANK-D515SYAV7M
MSG:NOTICE D515SYAV7M from: [HUNTINGTON-BANK] status: CARD-8493-LOCKED. Visit http://dryzqf.com/?=D515SYAV7M to unlock now." At first, I honestly believed it was about my debit card and panicked a bit. Luckily, I didn’t tap the link.

Just got a message from 1410200501, NAPA AUTO or something like that. They say if I slap their sticker on my car, they’ll pay me $450 every week. Sounds a bit fishy to me!

Got a message telling me my CHASE Visa was deactivated, came with a weird link http://bagoak.com and some random jumble of letters and numbers. Didn’t click it since I don’t even have a CHASE Visa. Pretty clear scam to me, probably trying to spread a virus. Just ignored it.

Got a message today saying:

Pretty clear it was a scam - banks don’t usually send alerts like that, and I don’t even bank with Wells Fargo! I keep an eye on all my accounts regularly, so I knew right away there was no problem anywhere.

Got a message saying:

The link and number looked dodgy, so I logged into my online banking to check if my card was actually blocked. Everything was fine with my account. Definitely a scam trying to trick people.

MSG:5829 WELLSFARGO" but I don’t even have an account with Wells Fargo and they usually get in touch by email if anything’s up. Had a look at my bank account just to be sure and everything was fine.

Got a suspicious text claiming my card was frozen from "Chase@ Online" with a link to http://chasecardsolutions1.com telling me to check it quickly. Definitely a phishing trick! My actual Chase account hasn't sent me any warnings at all.

Got a message from "suntrust-accounts" saying my account was locked for security reasons. They included a link to click on. I don’t have any accounts with Suntrust, so I just blocked the number and deleted the message.

I ended up getting a call from some fraudsters trying to rip me off, they’re the type who’d probably harm you if they got the chance. I rang up my bank straight away to check, and they confirmed it was a scam. Best just to ignore and delete these calls.

Got a text with a link claiming to be from Wells Fargo, but the English was all wrong. Since I’m a Wells Fargo user, I know they usually contact me through email or their app, not by strange texts like that. Definitely looked fishy to me.

I got a text from this number saying I needed to click a link to check out and accept some new License Agreement. The wording was really strange, sounded like it was written by someone who doesn’t speak proper English, and there was a weird "FRM:" bit full of random letters. I didn’t bother opening it at all. Instead, I just deleted the message, blocked the number straight away and switched off any notifications from it.

I received a text from 1410200500 with a message saying something like “FRM: GO TO www.bit.ly/2u3Sd9Y NOW MSG:628 PNC BANK ALERT.” I didn’t open the link at all. I just blocked the number, deleted the message straight away, and rang my bank to check if everything was alright.

I keep getting calls from this 141..... number and another one, and it’s pretty annoying. The texts have weird patterns with odd letters and numbers that make no sense. I just archive them without opening. Today, the message was something like “what are you doing here Iman…?” which felt really strange. Honestly, it doesn't seem like an American number, more like it’s from some foreign place or something.

Got loads of texts from someone called HowardJ, with a link included. It keeps coming in like every hour or so, really annoying. I've blocked the number, but my phone still holds onto the blocked messages and shows 'em to me. Such a pain!

Got a text from this number on 29th Oct 2018 at around 9:30 in the morning. The message said something like "FRM:info SUBJ:wellsfargosupport MSG:We've sent you an alert! Click here to check: viewnotification5.com". Didn’t bother replying since I don’t even bank with Wells Fargo! With the mid-term elections happening, my phone’s been flooded with robo-texts from all sorts of SuperPACs and candidates. Makes me think one of those groups might have passed on my info to some shady, or even legit, data broker. Not sure if “data broker” is the right term but it sounds about right!

For the past week, I've been getting loads of texts from someone called Ivar Santos. They're pushing some promo about paying $500 a week if you put their sticker on your car, bike, or truck. I replied with 'stop' a couple of times and even emailed to tell them to quit, but no luck. Then I blocked the number, only to have them start messaging from a different one. So annoying!

Got a message from this number. It was split in two parts: first part said something like "N737MT KFTW - KAUS is filed" with dates and times for departure and arrival in September 2018. Also mentioned a recall code T9580. The second part of the message included the route details: KFTW.JPOOL9.WINDU.SEWZY4.KAU at the end. Pretty sure it’s some sort of flight filing info. Not quite sure why I got it though.

Something about this call didn’t sit right with me from the start. The message headers showed weird paths, like coming from ukel19pa15.eemsg.mail.mil with IP 214.24.22.83, then routing through stcceg-mtmta01.wnsnet.attws.com. It also mentioned a bizsmtp transfer, which was strange. Later, it came from edge-okcd01.mail.mil (152.229.52.103) and then from UTINHPANS.easf.csd.disa.mil, all with odd Microsoft SMTP references and timestamps from late July 2018. The way these servers connected, like UTINHUAEW.easf.csd.disa.mil hitting UTINHPANS.easf.csd.disa.mil via mapi, it just felt suspicious. I had a gut feeling that this wasn’t legit right away.

Looks like a scam pretending to be from Facebook asking to verify your info. Definitely don’t trust it, it’s just trying to steal your details. Better to ignore those random calls and messages like that.

This was sent on January 6th, 2018 at around 5:44 pm. Definitely felt like spam or maybe some scam.
