I picked up the phone and greeted them, but then they just cut the line. How peculiar!

I happened to be on the road when the call came through, and they didn’t leave a message. The number wasn’t familiar to me at all, so I figured it must be some sort of nuisance call.

I haven't a clue who that was, just received a missed call. I reckon it's probably some sort of scam.

I received a call earlier from someone claiming to be from Bournemouth Water, informing me about a leak on the supply pipe at the edge of my property. However, when I attempted to return the call, I found it was an invalid number. The chap introduced himself as James Fry. Quite odd, if you ask me!

Received a call today from 01392672449. It was South West Water getting back to me regarding a question I had previously raised with them.

I received a rather odd phone call about a leak that was sorted ages ago. The timing was curious, considering our usage and hefty bill this month. They had my first and last name, which struck me as a bit off. When I suggested I’d return the call, the chap insisted that he’d ring back instead. He claimed our charges were excessive and that they’d wipe the bill clean and revert it to normal.
I was asked to complete an hour-long test, but honestly, the results are something he'd have no way of verifying. Quite the encounter! Cheers, VLB.

Received a call that I missed. When I attempted to return the call, I was greeted with a message saying, "Please verify the number and try again." This leads me to suspect it might have been a spam call.

Received a voicemail purporting to be from the water company, claiming there’s unusual usage at my residence. It’s just another dodgy scam, if you ask me!

Received a call on my mobile earlier. I opted not to pick up as the number was unfamiliar. They didn't leave any voicemail either. Thought I'd take a look on this website and it appears it’s likely a scam call.

I didn't pick up the phone when it rang, and instead opted to do a quick online search. I always make it a point to block any number that's not saved in my contacts. Unfortunately, I couldn't uncover who the caller was this time round!
