My phone flagged this as a scam, so I just ignored the call. Seeing what others have said here, I'm relieved I didn't pick up. By the way, Carphone Warehouse doesn't work with O2 anymore, so that's not related.

This number rang me earlier, and when I answered, there was silence for a while. After a bit, a woman asked if I’d been in an accident. Seemed a bit dodgy to me.

I just got a call from someone asking if I’d recently been in a car crash, which is completely not true as I haven’t had any accidents at all. Strange question to be asked out of the blue like that!

Picked up the call and as soon as I did, they just ended it straight away.

I’ve been approached by Accident Claims Line, promising me some sort of compensation for a car accident that I didn’t cause. Honestly, it all feels like a load of generic rubbish.

Rang me up but didn’t bother to leave a message... what's the point, I wonder? Why place a call if you're just going to hang up without saying anything?

Got a call from a guy who said he was from Carphone Warehouse, trying to persuade me to switch from O2 by offering to buy out my contract. He had an Asian accent. Felt a bit suspicious to me.

Hey folks, if you check out the maps, you'll see that the call came from Stanhope’s fish and chip shop. Who would have thought that chippy shops were also in the mobile phone game? It might be a good idea to report this to the police; they can track the IP address quite easily.

I received a call from this number but didn’t pick up, and lo and behold, they didn’t bother to leave a message. Quite the shocker! It seems I've had a spate of calls like this, four in just the past week alone, and intriguingly, they all seem to have begun reaching out around the same time. How odd!

That was a right con, pretending to be O2! Definitely a dodgy scam trying to pull a fast one.

I never pick up calls from strangers, so no clue who this might be. If it was someone real trying to reach me, they’d probably leave a voicemail but nope, nothing at all.

Got a call from 01388212024 at about 6:25pm on 18/02/22, but I didn’t pick up 'cause my phone's "hiya" app flagged it as a potential scam. That’s actually why I ended up checking this site. Looks like the app was spot on. Seriously, don’t call these numbers back - it can end up costing way more than just a phone call. Stay safe out there, folks! Wishing you all peace, love, good health and respect.

Received a call from someone purporting to be affiliated with the “phone company” that collaborates with “Three.” They were touting a supposedly more affordable SIM deal. I was almost duped, but when it came time to confirm my name, they insisted on hurrying through the process, repeatedly mispronouncing it. Every time I attempted to rectify their mistakes, they became rather irritable and was clearly agitated. They mentioned a £30 upfront payment before locking me into a two-year contract, and that was the final straw for me-I ended the call. They’re definitely dodgy, and I wouldn't be surprised if they attempt to contact you again from different numbers, so do exercise caution!

I picked up the phone only to be met with some rather unpleasant chat. The caller claimed to be associated with O2 and insisted they had a more favourable contract than Three could offer. At that point, I decided enough was enough and ended the call.
