Today, I received a rather odd call from a chap claiming to be from a "housing association." He proceeded to grill me with inquiries that struck me as rather invasive. Honestly, I can’t shake the feeling that this is some sort of con job.

Got a call from some asian people saying they were from the housing disrepair team. They told me my local council had been trying to reach me about leaks in my council flat. Thing is, I don’t even live in any council accommodation.

I picked up the phone and they said they were from the housing department. When I asked them which address they were calling about, they just said "the place you’re living at now." I pressed them again to give me a proper address they were enquiring about, but right after that, they just cut off the call. About the company linked to this, it’s ecore host. Yasir Anjum was the director, running it from April 2020 until September 2021. The company was based at 2 Frederick Street, Kings Cross, London, WC1X 0ND. It was a private limited company with registration number 12568676. It got dissolved in 2021 and didn’t have any ongoing UK establishments or liquidation procedures at that time.
