After contacting Fonehouse directly, they confirmed they're aware of this situation but are powerless to act as the numbers seem to be constantly shifting. I even got an email from them about it. Just a heads up-steer clear of this scam!

I’ve actually put over 10 different numbers on block in the past day. So, today I’ve wasted loads of their time by acting like I’m interested, making up silly names and fake bank details. They never catch on, even when I say I’m Emma Roids or give nonsense info. You’d assume they’d have knocked it on the head and removed my number by now.

I got a call today from someone saying they were with Carphone Warehouse, trying to peddle the newest iPhone. The woman spoke so fast I could hardly catch what she was saying. When I told her I wasn’t interested, she pressed me to explain why. I told her I found it odd she had my number as I've never bought from or contacted them before. Then I asked her to take my details off their list, and she just hung up on me. Seems like I've had two other calls just today too, from 01388212006 and 02089544163. The last one was pretty hard to understand - maybe it was Carphone Warehouse, maybe not!
