So dodgy, I just ended the call straight away. The bloke claimed he was from BT and that my internet was at risk, even though I’ve got antivirus installed. He told me someone was supposedly using my IP in some other country, but couldn’t say where or why. Complete rubbish if you ask me!

I got a couple of calls over two days from an Asian bloke saying he was from Microsoft. He told me my computer was under attack from hackers trying to break in. Then he asked if I even owned a computer! Three calls in total, proper annoying.

Over the past few days, this number has rung my landline about four times. Each time, the caller said he was from the BT tech team, but his thick foreign accent gave the game away straight away. I knew it was a con right off the bat and told him to "stop wasting my time and learn to speak English properly". I didn’t get drawn into any chat. However, once my wife answered and the caller claimed there was an issue with our internet and that BT had sent him to sort it out. She cut the call right there. ELV

I’ve been getting calls from loads of different numbers lately all saying they’re from the BT tech team. This most recent one was just another in the bunch. When I asked them to confirm they were really from BT, they didn’t have any proof. I remember one time I told a caller I wasn’t buying their story, and they actually told me to “buzz off”! Seems like they can get a bit rattled too, just like us!

this bloke with an asian accent rang me up saying my ip address was in trouble. i kept pressing him for details, like what’s going on and what i should do, but he kept giving these vague answers like “we just know it’s happened”. he reckoned he was a bt tech from london, but i thought it was weird he was calling from a dudley landline? looked like a dodgy call to me.
