I received a call from someone inquiring about a car accident that I’ve never been involved in. The moment I replied with a 'No', they hung up immediately. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!

This morning, 26th July 2022 at around 10:46, I got a call from 01382752025. The person claimed I was involved in a car accident and demanded payment. The background was really loud, lots of people chatting so sounded like a call centre. I kept saying I never had any accident and the bloke just hung up on me. Definitely a spam call coming from somewhere in Dundee.

I keep getting calls every day about some accident that never happened, and they're always from numbers nearby. It’s really annoying having to deal with these fake accident calls all the time.

Oh great, here comes another call trying to sell me life insurance or some funeral plan nonsense. Then they go on about an accident, like I’ve been hurt or something - which I haven’t, no one told me any of that, and I don’t even drive or own a car! And as for the life insurance or funeral plan, news flash, I’m still very much alive. Honestly, can they just leave me alone and bother someone who actually wants to listen? I’ve got better things to do than sit here giving out my private details to random strangers. So frustrating! 🤬🤬🤬

I'm pretty sure these call centres get hold of our info because the phone companies sell it off. I reckon it’s the mobile network providers doing it. The call centre I got called by is somewhere in Camarthenshire, Wales. Best thing to do is just block them unless you actually want to buy some boring insurance policy.

So, this person rings up and asks if they can talk to Miss K, which is actually my old surname before I got married. I told them I haven't gone by that name in over 15 years, and right after that, they just hung up on me. I was actually quite nice about the whole thing too.

Haha, your recent crash? Sounds like just another lot of dodgy ambulance chasers trying their luck.

Got a call from a woman talking about some "accident" I was supposed to have had. Thing is, I don't even drive! Had a bit of time to kill, so I figured I'd humour her for a bit. I told her I was the one who'd caused it, said there were two people involved and I was pretty drunk then. Still, she didn't stop with the questions. When she asked when it happened, I said 1st April. She pressed on with more queries, so I just ended the call, thinking I'd wasted enough of her time already.
