This person kept ringing me, already knowing my name and everything. First, she tried to push some insurance for D & G, then switched to talking about a discount I might be entitled to. She said her name was Jo and even gave me her mobile number to ring her back! I blocked the number, but she managed to get through anyway. While using Call Guardian, it just gave one ring usually, but somehow she bypassed it, and the phone rang like normal, as if I hadn’t blocked her. I’ve blocked her once more and no way am I calling her back!

This number came up as "Personnel Outsourcing Recruitment" on my phone, apparently linked to Domestic and General, claiming I was eligible for a 35% NCD discount. The caller seemed pretty well-informed, which was worrying if I’d fallen for it. I ended the call quickly. Then, not long after, someone calling themselves Mark Davis, a 'manager', rang back and was super pushy about why I’d cut off the first call. He kept demanding my bank details to sort out the NCD, which I obviously refused and hung up on again. I also reported this number to the legit Domestic and General company.

I'm on the TPS list and my number's ex-directory, but it clearly doesn't make a difference when it comes to dodgy calls. Still, I appreciate all the info people share here. Got a call from 01382752028 and it just kept buzzing even after I tried to end it. The only way I could stop that annoying noise was by unplugging my phone from the socket. Total scammer nonsense.

Got a call from someone claiming to be home care, trying to sell me an insurance renewal for appliances I don't even own... total scammer.
