I'm from Australia and got a text from this number and another one that’s almost the same, like 441382382026. When I rang both, a lady’s voice told me the service wasn’t available. They seem to get messages but never reply. When I said I'd report them to Aussie Cyber Security, I got a weird reply full of what looked like computer code, no idea what it meant. Both numbers are based in Dundee, Scotland. If I had to rate how much I trust these numbers from 1 to 5, it's definitely a big fat 0.

He had my name and where I live. The bloke spoke with an Asian accent and claimed my home appliance cover had ended. I told him he was the tenth caller about this in just a fortnight. I quizzed him on the brand of our appliances but he had no clue. I said if they were legit, they’d have that info sorted. When I asked for his company’s name, he just said "Domestic Appliances." I pressed if it was Ltd or plc, then he hung up. What a load of scammers.

They had my full name and address, which was a bit unsettling. A guy with an Asian accent called, claiming my home appliance insurance had run out. Domestic and General has rung me up in the past from another phone number. This one is apparently from Dundee according to this site, but Domestic and General’s main office is in Wimbledon. Their address is Swan Court, 11 Worple Rd, London SW19 4JS and their number is 03330004966. Check out domesticandgeneral.com for yourself. Good luck getting through though, they hardly pick up. Got a call three times from this number today, they kept talking about something domestic and general. Two other phone numbers showed up too - 01414890382 and 01919495435 - they started the call exactly the same way.

Got a call about some supposed policy for all my kitchen gadgets, saying I could save over £400. This "domestic appliances" lot have been at it for weeks now. I reckon I've blocked close to 50 numbers from them already, but they just keep ringing back from new ones nonstop.

When I picked up, there was quite a pause before they spoke. They muttered something about their agent not being around right now but promised to phone me again later. They also gave this number ***** for me to ring if I wanted. Can't believe this is the second dodgy call I've had today.

This number called me and left a voicemail about discussing my appliance warranty. But the appliance cover company I’m signed up with is nowhere near Dundee, and this definitely isn’t their phone number. Seems a bit fishy to me.

Received a call from someone claiming to be from Domestic and General, offering to renew my washing machine insurance. I suspect it might be a scam as I've never actually had insurance for my washing machine, plus it's quite old.

Got a call just like the others about some home appliance insurance refund cause I supposedly didn’t claim anything. I tried to get them to tell me the exact brand and model of my stuff but they couldn’t, so clearly a scam to grab your bank info. Ended up hanging up straight away.

Then they rang again, trying to convince me it was legit, but no thanks!

This telephone number has been used on multiple occasions, and the caller has been causing distress to an elderly woman. We have explained to them that she does not wish to have insurance coverage for any of her appliances, yet they disregard our explanation. They persistently call her at least three times every week, with a different person contacting her each time, in the hopes of catching her alone. It is important to be cautious as these individuals are relentlessly persistent and refuse to accept a "no" as an answer.
