I've been getting loads of calls from folks saying they're from BT Openreach, all from different numbers over the past month and a half. They keep telling me there's some problem with my broadband, but none of it makes sense because Openreach doesn't deal directly with customers like me. When I asked why they weren’t talking to my actual internet provider, they just kept dodging. In the end, I told them straight if they ring me again, I'll have to report them to the police. If anyone else wants to report dodgy calls, you can do it through BT's site at https://www_bt.com/consumer/edw/scams/
