I picked up but there was nobody talking on the other end.

This was definitely a scam, so I wouldnt recomend picking up.

Got a call from someone pretending to be from BT Openreach telling me there were loads of devices hooked up to my network and there was some sort of alert. Because I work with broadband stuff, I told them I use a secure VPN, and then the bloke ( sounded Asian) just went "oh" and hung up. Definitely a scam trying to trick you into giving access or personal info - if they were legit, they’d know my name and ask for it. Don’t give out anything to these types unless you ring your broadband provider on their official number first.
