A bloke rang claiming to be from some call blocking outfit, said they needed to check my debit card cos it was expiring in 2021 or something. I kept saying there’s no need for a debit card with a direct debit, but he just wouldn't have it, got a bit annoyed when I didn’t give in. In the end, I just hung up. Sometimes it’s worth stringing them along just to waste their time.

Some bloke rang saying he was from a call blocking company, trying to stop spam calls. He kept going on about needing to check my debit card, claiming it was about to expire in 2021. I kept telling him you don’t need a debit card for a direct debit, but he wouldn’t drop it and kept insisting I had to give him the details. Got a bit annoyed with him, so in the end I just hung up. Best bet is to waste their time if you can.
