I picked up the call but nobody said a word, so I just ended up hanging up.

I’ve encountered someone who’s rather aggressive, and it seems they might be from either Pakistan or India.

This number called me earlier and some bloke with an Asian accent said there was an issue with my internet router. I told him to hang on a moment while I sorted something on my PC. Instead, I nipped out to the corner shop for a paper and some milk. When I got back and answered, the call had already disconnected!

Got a call from someone named Thomas saying he was from TalkTalk about some issue with my router. I told him I wasn’t even a TalkTalk customer and asked how that was possible. He didn’t seem happy with my questions and just ended the call pretty sharpish!

I got a call from a woman with a really thick foreign accent claiming she was calling from TalkTalk support. She said there was an issue with my internet and asked me to log in. I just chuckled, told her to move on and find someone else to fool, then she just hung up.

Got a call just now from those scammy talk talk people, all trying to get into your computer. Honestly, it’s about time we had call centres back in the UK because now everybody’s suspicious of any caller from Asia. It’s a real shame how it’s all turned out.

the day after talktalk got hacked online, I got a call from these scammers. I told talktalk about it and gave them the phone number, thinking they’d take it seriously. they said they’d look into it but it feels like nothing’s happened since. I haven’t blocked the number yet, hoping talktalk would fix things, but if they ring me again I’m definitely thinking of switching my phone provider.

I seem to receive around three or four calls each month from individuals attempting to gain access to my computer remotely. It's rather concerning, isn’t it? One would think there ought to be a method for the police to track down these calls and possibly stop these sorts of scams before they lead to any serious wrongdoing.

Somebody claiming to be from TalkTalk rang me, they already had all my info and kept telling me my router was faulty, trying to scare me.

Should this number attempt to get in touch with you, it's wise to ignore the call. They could likely be deceitful individuals trying to pull a fast one on you. Best to steer clear!

I’ve had a few calls claiming someone was trying to get into my account, but it all sounded fake to me! Seems like a scam to me, happened a couple of times now.

Given the sheer volume of scam calls flooding in, I’ve taken to carrying around a 99p whistle. Just the other day, I received a rather dodgy call from a chap named Paul Taylor-complete with an Indian accent-claiming to be from TalkTalk’s technical support. He was prattling on about issues with my broadband, but if you ask me, doesn’t everyone who uses TalkTalk have those pesky problems? I let him ramble on for a bit before it dawned on me that I was dealing with a scammer. When he asked me to download some software, I promptly blasted my whistle down the line. His response? A rather colourful insult aimed my way, to which I retaliated with a few more blasts. After that, he hung up. Now, whenever the phone rings, I instinctively grab my whistle before answering-it’s quite effective! Honestly, for just 99p, it’s a sound investment!

This number keeps ringing me claiming they’re from TalkTalk. Just now, the person said there was a problem with my router and told me to get on my computer immediately and do what he says. I said no thanks and ended the call. Later, I called TalkTalk myself and they told me it was definitely a scam.

I believe this call came from Talk, and I've been having a right struggle with my router. It's becoming extremely tiresome, to be honest. I ended up losing my patience and hung up on them after I mentioned it was becoming rather ridiculous. Why on earth can't anyone put an end to these incessant calls?

They rang purporting to be from Talk Talk, but it was clearly a dodgy call.

Today i got a call from this number but the sound was really bad. I figured it might be a spam call so I paused to see if they'd say anything. After a bit, a woman chuckled and then the call just dropped. Since august 4th, ive been getting loads of annoying calls from various numbers. Seems like these calls come from either the same bunch or maybe my info has been handed over to a bunch of scammers. Whenever they do manage to talk, they say they’re with TalkTalk. Trust me, they’re not legit, so don’t give them any details!

Had a dodgy call the other day! The bloke claimed he was with Talk Talk and tried to persuade me to let him take over my computer to fix my router. Total scam!

I’ve been inundated with calls from these dodgy characters, despite my best efforts to send them packing with a few choice words! My husband, when caught in a similar bind, said he was too occupied to chat and suggested I give him my number so he could have the constables ring me instead. To that, he cheekily replied with a play on words: "Alright, F for Freddie, U for Unicorn, C for Charlie and K for Kingdom," before hanging up. Since then, I've installed the BT Advanced Call Blocker, and I can’t stop laughing - it’s utterly brilliant! Once you get the hang of it, you’ll find they simply can’t get through anymore. I can’t recommend it highly enough. These folks are indeed up to no good, so guard your information with your life!

I picked up the phone, yet there was complete silence on the other end. It’s high time we took action against these individuals who are causing unnecessary anxiety for our elderly folks.

Thankfully, I managed to avoid this call, but out of curiosity, I rang the number back, only to be greeted by an automated voice stating it wasn’t recognised. It's quite probable it’s one of those tedious calls from those dreary folks claiming your bank might owe you a fortune if you've had a loan that falls under PPI. The inability to return the call should be a clear indication of what to expect.

I tend to avoid picking up calls from numbers I don’t know. This particular one showed up as an international caller, yet 1471 revealed it as something different. It rang me four times within a mere five minutes! I can’t imagine it’s anything pleasant.

They’ve rang us roughly ten times, and the only time they actually said anything was with a brief "hello." The rest of the calls? They just hang up! It’s really starting to get on our nerves!

It seems there’s a person in the Elgin area trying to get in touch with you using a BT landline. Any idea who it might be?
