Got a call from someone saying they were doing a survey and needed just a minute to ask a few questions. They knew my name but had a postcode way off from mine. When I asked them for their details, they wanted my exact postcode but I couldn’t recall it straight away since I’d only just moved a few days ago. I recently got myself a BT Guardian Phone and honestly, its great. The phone only rings once, then the person calling has to say who they are before they get through. After that, the phone rings properly and the Guardian asks if you want to answer the call. You press 1 to take it, 2 to block or 3 to reject. We used to get loads of cold calls at all hours which was so annoying, this is the only thing that’s stopped it. Since I’m deaf and don’t really understand these foreign callers, I’d just hang up but now with this phone that’s all changed. Plus, you can check who’s called you and block any nuisance numbers so the calls you do get are more likely real. You get three phones in a pack and the price isn’t bad at all - would definitely recommend getting one!

They called me several times today, like 3 or 4. First they wanted to know who I get my electricity from, then they asked about my TV service, like if I use Sky or someone else. I ended the call as soon as I asked why I should share that info when I have no clue who they are.

This number calls almost every day, but half the time no one even says anything. They claim it’s some kind of survey. With all the money phone companies make, why don’t they take responsibility and stop this nonsense? It’s really frustrating.

This number kept ringing me for a few times, I finally picked up today. The person asked if I was a certain someone. I tried to find out who they were, but instead of telling me, they kept wanting me to say my name first. I told them, "You called me, so you should say who you are before we chat." They just said, "whatever" and ended it. Quite rude and confusing.

Got a call from a bloke with an accent who already knew my first name. He kept saying he wasn’t trying to sell me anything but just wanted my thoughts on some stuff. I told him I’m on the TPS list so he shouldn’t be calling me. I ended up shouting at him to piss off, then hung up and blocked the number straight away.

I just got a call from this number. An asian guy asked for me by name, but I told him that wasn’t me. Then he mentioned my address and asked if it was right, I said no and he ended the call straight away.

Dont fall for this, its not a genuine Scottish company at all. Its a scam from abroad trying to get your bank info for dodgy reasons. Stay clear!

Got three calls all within an hour. This number was off for a month but now it’s back and so are the calls. Seriously considering getting BT Call Guardian. They usually give up when it goes to the answerphone since I hardly pick up the landline.

they keep ringing but ive got a bt call guardian on me phone so it never actually rings, it just blocks then straight off coz i blocked loads of similar numbers. i only find out they tried calling when i check call history. brilliant peace of mind really. bt call guardian phones are so worth it. me phone stays quiet all day but my mates still get through no problem with the settings.

They’re not outright selling me stuff, but if I start answering, they ask for things like my bank details. Something really needs to be done about this. Got a call from a woman with a Pakistani accent askin for my husband. She was oddly vague about the company she worked for and got really rude when we asked what the call was about. She ended up hanging up, said it was some 'very important call'. She knew his name and our address but didn’t have a number or email for him. Told us she was from 'inter savings' or sumthin and said her name was Karen. When we tried to find out who she actually was or what company she was calling on behalf of, her only reply was ‘I’ve already told you, I’m Karen!!’ Totally dodgy.

Got a call from this number earlier. Seeing the other reviews about them repeating what you say made me wonder if this is some sort of new 'voice recognition' scam? The person on the line asked for my opinion, so I just replied with "you're really hard to hear".

It was a guy with an Asian accent. I knew the voice straight away and told him right after he said the typical "I'm not selling anything." I asked him to take my number off his list but he just said he couldn’t and then just ended the call. Proper shame I can’t track that little pest down!!!!
