I answered the call and after a short pause, they started saying “Thanks for booking from St Pancras to…” but I hung up right there. Haven’t come across this trick before, as I usually get loads of scam calls. Honestly, I’m quite pleased if it actually ends up being someone I know or family calling for once!

Some bloke called me claiming to be from British Telecom, but his thick Asian accent made me pretty sure it was a scam.

Just like the others, this one turned out to be one of those dodgy train ticket scams.

Got a robo call asking if I'd spotted any strange activity on my credit card. They never gave any details about my account or card number. Then they said to press 1 if I had noticed anything. Definitely a scam, no doubt about it.

Total rip-off, definitely a scam!!

I got a call from this number and it was definitely a scam. They claimed there were purchases on my debit card but when I asked for the last 4 digits, they couldn’t say them. Then they tried to get all my card details! Really don’t trust these calls.

Got a call from some automated voice saying they were from my credit card company about suspicious train ticket charges. They told me to press 1 for info, 2 to dispute, but no matter what I pressed, it ended up being some dodgy call centre in India. The bloke on the line claimed he was from "Visa security" and started asking for my full name, birthday, all that personal stuff. When I messed about and asked who exactly they wanted to speak to, he just started swearing and hung up on me (felt good wasting their time, honestly). Definitely a scam trying to nick your banking info.

They tried the same trick on me, saying I’d purchased some pricey train ticket from St Pancras (spelled wrong, of course).

I got a call from this number claiming to be from my bank, saying someone bought a pricey train ticket on my debit card. They told me to press 1 if I wanted to talk to someone about it. I didn’t press anything and ended the call. When I tried to ring them back, the number just wouldn’t go through. Definitely looks like a scam.

Got a call from this number pretending to be from some bank’s 'debit card department'. When I asked them which bank they were from, the bloke on the other end just told me to **** off and then cut the call. Definitely a dodgy scammer.
