Got a silent call today. My partner answered on the other phone and we quickly had a word about it. Fingers crossed I didn’t accidentally say “yes” - I try to avoid that in case they splice it somehow. Normally I just say “aye” in my thick Glaswegian accent, just to be safe.

The number was unfamiliar so I just let it ring through to voicemail. Of course, nothing was left, so must be some sort of scam.

This has scam written all over it. The person on the other end must have been deaf or something, coz all they kept saying was "Hello?" and "You there?" Totally dodgy and pretty useless too!

Got a phonecall from this number claiming to be BT OPENREACH, supposedly ringing from London. When I pointed out the area code didn’t seem to be one from London, the guy sounded a bit taken aback. He had a foreign accent and told me they were supposedly tracking our internet because it was showing loads of errors. He asked me to run an internet speed test. I told him I’d check it myself later on. Then he said my internet wasn’t secure. Whenever I asked for more info, he just kept repeating he was from BT OPENREACH but couldn’t really answer the tech questions I had. Definitely a SCAM.

Got a ring from this number, and about ten minutes later, another call came in from 015325 725 757 which seems to be linked. I wasn't exactly rude but told them to buzz off. Funny enough, the person on the line was an Aussie! Both numbers are from Darlington, which is a bit odd.

So i got this weird call about some old train tickets, sounded fishy right? When I finally reached the security person, i asked them straight if train scams like amazon ones are a thing now. Told them to talk louder coz I was recording for a scam patrol. Next thing, they just hung up on me. Typical!

So I got a call from "Henry" at BT, but he had a really thick Indian accent! Since when do Indian folks name their kids "Henry"? Pretty obvious these are a bunch of scammers, just in case you hadn’t figured it out.
